New Moon in Gemini: June 19th, 2012

Get Ready for Romance! New Moon in Gemini: Get Ready for Romance!by Kelly Surtees

That beautiful white sliver in the night sky on June 19 is the second consecutive new Moon in the sign of the twins, Gemini.

This unusual event brings a repeated energy that offers a second chance for love that didn’t quite come together in late May.

New Moons highlight the planetary patterns that will influence the following month.

By exploring the aspects of the Gemini new Moon,
we can gain a sense of how love will play out over the next four weeks.

With the new Moon’s ruling planet, Mercury, in sensitive Cancer, it’s important to be gentle with loved ones now. That someone special might be feeling vulnerable, so make an extra effort to reassure them of your feelings. Tenderness supports togetherness.

Love goddess
Venus aligns with unpredictable Uranus at this new Moon, revealing that the month ahead is sure to be full of romantic surprises. Dating developments happen quickly when Venus and Uranus link, so if you want love – or sex -- take action to make it happen. Quirky connections have great potential, and random encounters help reveal your true feelings.

Gemini is the sign of conversation and social interaction, so communication is key in enhancing your romantic prospects now. If you’re single, make an effort to get involved in social events -- you never know who you’ll meet.

Expressing what’s on your mind and in your heart is essential, whether you write it down or say it out loud. Don’t assume someone knows what you want, instead talk it over with them. Shortly after this new Moon, passion planet Mars will move out of its shadow area. A planet in shadow is like a planet that’s still dragging from its last retrograde. Mars will be back to its fiery self by June 21.

This creates progress in stagnant relationships. Since Mars is all about intimacy, sexual intensity is likely to grow, making it likely this will be a sizzling summer for everyone!

I have been following Molly Hall's articles for a long time and always learn something interesting!  here is her article for the Venus Transit! en-joy your day!

Transit of Venus ...Tuesday, June 5th!

By , About.com GuideJune 4, 2012
Venus moves in front of the Sun tomorrow (Tuesday)! It's an astronomical wow that won't be happening again until 2117! At NASA's Transit of Venus site, live coverage starts at 9:45 pm UTC/London and 5:45 pm EDT from Mauna Kea Hawaii (local time in Hawaii is 11:45 am). The transit lasts six hours. Just like with the last two eclipses, the Pacific areas, eastern Asia and the west coast of the US are the best viewing locales!
Transit of Venus.org is a treasure of info, from how to see it without scorching your eyes, to past transits (1639, "A Most Agreeable Spectacle"/1761 & 1769/1874 & 1872/2004). The Transit of Venus has inspired the arts in each century. That creator of patriotic marches, John Philip Sousa composed a Transit of Venus march, which was revived in 2004 in venues around.
The love planet Venus is close to Earth (at Perigee, closest point), and will be conjunct the bright Sun Tuesday. Symbolically, it's time to beam rays on what's most alive and 'current' in our lives. Venus in quick Gemini looks for things that pop in the now! An invite to breakup habitual activities or relationships stuck in a groove of obligation.
Venus is in retro to June 27th, for a chance to dance with the past, in a 'revised,' spirited way. Coming off the pair of eclipses, Venus brings a mood of light play, and acceptance, to changes and all this surreal novelty afoot in the world. Venus Gemini in retrograde ups spontaneity and joy at living on the edge (of new experiences). As Venus moves in retrograde across our radiant Sun, the bright-eyed magical child returns. Sun and Venus together bring the happy back in new ways.

Full Moon/Total Lunar Eclipse
December 10, 2011  6:36 AM Pacific  10:36 AM Eastern

This month's Full Moon is a total Lunar Eclipse, occurring Saturday December 10th--  Over the past few weeks the collective energy has been focused upon adjusting our own unique individual lens resulting in a broader, more expansive, and all-encompassing perspective. Look deeply at where you're gaining more awareness, where something has become more apparent, and how you can see more clearly where to make the next few steps.

************************************************************************

My friend Lynn sent this to me and I knew I should pass it on!
enjoy the read!!!

Today is a very special day numerologically - it's
November 11, 2011, or 11.11.11.
As a Catalyst, I use life's events to help energy-aware
entrepreneurs to gain clarity, understand the bigger picture
and break through limitations to step into their power in life
and business. Today is such an event.

There are different vantage points from which to see
today's gifts. But before we do, note that last night
was a full moon which will enhance whatever is happening
for you right now.

Moon magic requires you to be in your center, listen to your
intuition and move with what inspires you. You'll see in a
minute how that is synchronistic information... the
Universe has soooo many ways to keep us informed, when we
pay attention.

Ok, on to how moon magic meets numerology...

Many people report seeing the number 11 or 11:11 quite often...
on the clock, in a schedule, on their car radio and more. And
they usually want to know what that MEANS...

Seeing the number 11 is a psychic time marker that alerts you
to notice what’s happening on the subtle energy level.

Think of it as a karmic post-it note that you sent to yourself to
wake up to the bigger picture and be aligned with who you
came here to be in the here and now. It is helping you anchor
what you know to be true in the moment.

Continuing... 11 is the master psychic’s number and it focuses
on intuition, spiritual truth, ideals and being a conduit for
high vibration energy and insights.

It's about making choices and decisions from a deep knowingness
that transcends the surface 'look' of a situation, circumstances
or relationship. (See the moon energy connection now?) ;=)

When you operate from that deep inner space, you’re following
your unique insights, which is the only place to grow your life
and inspire your essential creativity.

If you focus on the shortcuts, it only limits your growth and keeps
you in 11’s shadow energy. If you find that to be the case in your
life, the antidote is to know what you know and be responsible for
it. That’s because 11 is about higher consciousness evolving
through you.

So, the primary energy of 11:11:11 is naturally enough 1 energy,
which is about leadership, new beginnings, fresh starts, pioneering,
independence, self-awareness, consciousness, leading your own life
and taking care of your own needs.

Since we live in a world of duality, where everything has its
opposite, the shadow side of 1 energy includes selfishness, being
condescending or arrogant, aggressive, egotistical and lacking tact.
(If you see this in someone else, please have compassion because
they’re struggling with being in their shadow...)

Anyway, that means you’ll either feel inspired with clear insights
and know exactly what to do OR you’ll feel confused, off-center
and in overwhelm today. It depends on how closely you are living
with truth in your life.

If the latter is resonating with you, use today to stop and look
at your relationships, any situations that are causing you
discomfort, anything that you need to say, any boundaries that
need clarification, old or false obligations you’re laboring
under... essentially, if you know a truth that needs more
full expression in your choices and actions, consider this
your invitation to do so.

It may sound harsh to hear it but nobody else can take care of
your life business for you.

The 1 + 1 energy of 11 is the number of connection - if you know
that 1 + 1 equals two, but it doesn't feeeeel right, it's a sign that
you've overlooked some details and your intuition is trying to help
you connect the dots.

Obviously, 11 is made up of two 1s, which represents the 1 looking at
itself (think 1:1 with the colon as the mirror). The 11 energy
represents both the one person but also the 'we' that is formed
by two.

In other words, you may reflect on yourself beyond the surface to
the profound level of your being in order to cultivate
self-acceptance. You may also see ‘the other’ with more clarity
than ever before in yourself and others.

(Sidebar: 11 laid sideways is an equal sign... just sayin’...) ;=)

So, everything starts with the one, but it becomes a part of, and a
reflection of, the other. In the largest sense, we as a species are
evolving and the more we can contribute our individual clarity, the
smoother our collective transition.

By being aware of what you’re feeling, who you are from the inside
out, what purpose you are here to uniquely fulfill, you make the
world a better place.

There is also a “family” energy available here... 11:11:11 adds
up to the number 6, which is the number of domestic responsibilities,
home, family, stability, accountability and balance.

The 6 energy teaches how to make the 'right' decisions, to rise
above small-mindedness and to see the hidden aspects of your
priorities and decisions - they have to go beyond your own interests
to include your "family" (whether biological or chosen).

There aren't any quick fixes in the 6 vibration; instead, it's about
patience and taking time to let things grow (think about being a
parent with a child).

In this energy, you are the parent - to shepherd positive growth, to
teach, be a good role model, and be fully expressed from the inside
out - for yourself and the people in your world.

This may require some healing from the inside out too, which means
letting go of that which you know no longer serves you emotionally,
physically, intellectually, energetically, spiritually. This is the
time to release those old patterns and heal, as the power of
profound insights supports your transformational shift.

Now, for the mathematicians reading this, November 11, 2011 is
actually an 8 day (1+1+1+1+2+1+1). That is the number of big
business and bold expression. For me, that means that whatever
you know to be true for yourself is what is being broadcast through
your business.

Think about that... if you are in scarcity, people will pick up
desperation (and likely be repelled for many reasons, but
that's another post).

If you are in clarity, people who aren’t will desire to work
with you. We attract that which we are and your business is a
megaphone sharing your frequency to potential and current
clients... make sure your energy is clear so it’s a
positive message.

May you discover your insights and illuminated path for yourself
and your business by using the 11:11:11 energy today and beyond.

To Catalyzing Your Clarity ~Lynn

P.S.: Feel free to forward this to the people you know who
desire to be their best self. As a Catalyst, my purpose is to
help provoke and accelerate new consciousness - it would be an
honor to do so with the people you care about... :+)

Mars and Neptune
November 8th, 2011
Are you feeling the energy of these two??? I have been, I usually feel the energy a week out so I love these explanations and I hope this helps you to understand what is going on in your world too....Mars and Neptune are about to jump on a cosmic seesaw, but you'll be the one who gets bounced back and forth!

On November 7, Mars and Neptune will sit exactly opposite from each other in the sky, which means their energies will have to duke it out for dominance. In one corner, you'll have Mars with all of its aggression, determination and go-get-'em attitude. In the other corner, will be passive, idealistic, uncommitted Neptune. This could become a confusing mess!

You'll want to move, take action and get things done, but you'll lack motivation, stamina and drive. You may feel anxious or trapped, but the key here is to find balance. Take a couple breaths and try to step back from the situation. If you work these energies right, you could use the determination of Mars and the idealism of Neptune to set your own ideals into motion!

Then on November 9, Neptune will take center stage in the sky, as it goes direct in Aquarius. This should help calm any uncertainties you've had about your future these last couple months, and it will also help you understand what you really value in friendships and in society.from astrology.com

Samhain/Halloween
(October 31-November 1)

excerpted from Sacred Ceremony
By Dr. Steven Farmer

This is the time of year when the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead is at its thinnest, the night when the dead return to visit us, to feast, and communicate with us. The seeds from the dying plants fall to the Earth, and there they wait until the proper mixture of heat and light once again stirs the life within. Samhain (pronounced SOW-en) is the most important, but also the least understood of the ancient Celtic festivals. Samhain means "summer's end," and it's clearly the initiation of the darkest time of the year.
The secular holiday of Halloween, as well as the Christian holidays of All Saints Day (November 1) and All Soul's Day (November 2), all have their roots in ancient Pagan or Celtic festivals. Halloween in contemporary times contains some of the elements of the original festivities, but has been distorted in its meaning and expression.

In A Woman's Book of Rituals and Celebrations,
Barbara Ardinger articulates the deeper meanings of this holiday:

How many of the kids who put on their (Halloween) costumes and thrust plastic bags at us for candy know what "trick or treat" really means? Do they know that Halloween is our most sacred holiday? Do they know why they dress as ghosts and witches and carry plastic jack-o'-lanterns?

Today, alas, it's only party time.

But it hasn't always been so.

Hallows, Hallowmas, All Hallows Eve-the "hallow" in all three names comes from the Middle English word that means "holy." When something is hallowed, it's sanctified and consecrated. Even when the Christian Church took over our holiday (holy day), it kept the name, for "Halloween" means "hallowed evening." Not only that, they also made November 1 All Saints Day and November 2 All Souls Day.
On All Souls Day, the barriers between this world and the Otherworld are removed, and the dead are able to rise from their own graves. In our culture, death is dealt with poorly, as something to be denied and to be feared, so instead of honoring our ancestors and deceased loved ones on this holiday, it's taken on an entirely different kind of spin. Trick or treat had an entirely different meaning. Originally, you would leave food for the ancestors and the faeries. If you didn't, then they'd play tricks on you, perhaps for the entire year.
However, these ancestors that were portrayed as ghouls, ghosts, and goblins, actually visited us to help us. They weren't scary at all. The treats left for them were to welcome them, to let them enjoy memories of their time while on Earth. Psychic powers are highest on each of the quarter days, but are at the strongest at Samhain. The communication between the living and the world of the dead is at an all time high, with messages being exchanged both ways.

Commemorating Samhain/All Hallow's Eve-One of the most elegant ceremonies you can do on this day is one celebrated in Mexico and other Latin American countries, called El Dia de las Muertes, or Day of the Dead, celebrated on November 2.
As described by a friend, Martha Granados, it's a holiday set aside to honor your deceased loved ones. Technically, it's two days, as November 1 is the day to honor any children who have died, while November 2 is to honor the adults who have passed on. Of the two, November 2 is the most important, and is thought of as the actual holiday.

To commemorate this day, you set up an altar specifically to honor those ancestors.  You spread Rose petals across the altar, then add a candle or candles, a glass of water, some flowers, and photos of loved ones. As well, you set on the altar an ofrenda, or offering, of small bits of food, preferrably the types of food your deceased loved ones enjoyed. As Martha says, "Of course the spirits can't eat the food, but they enjoy the sight and smell of it." And they're no doubt honored that you devoted this day to their memory.
That night you light the candle and say a prayer of gratitude and invitation, and ideally leave the candle lit all night. Practically, leaving it lit for a few hours still pays homage to your deceased loved ones. It will undoubtedly bring up some emotion, so it's an opportunity to yield to any unfinished grief or sorrow.

Jupiter and Mars!

On October 3, Jupiter and Mars will square off with each other, creating a burst of energy that will shower down on you! When Jupiter is involved, you can pretty much count on something good coming your way. However, its alignment with Mars isn't quite as friendly as it could be,
so there are also a couple pitfalls to beware of.

Mars is dynamic with a can-do spirit, while Jupiter is supremely confident. This can lead to a tendency to over-promise and overdo, yet still under-deliver. Jupiter also has a tendency to be a bit self-righteous and idealistic, and when paired with Mars' aggression, you could soon be ready to mount your own crusades. Slow down, take a deep breath, and make sure whatever you're fighting for is really worth all this.

On the flip side, that can-do spirit and confidence are exactly what you need to solve some major problems, or to make important strides forward with whatever project you're working on. You'll feel resourceful and full of vitality, and nothing will seem too big for you to tackle and conquer!
Remember to temper your overconfidence with a dose of reality,
and you really will be able to accomplish just about anything you put your mind to.

The effect Mars and Jupiter will have on the general ambiance is impressive,
but how are they affecting you individually?
As the planets move across the cosmos, their influences change, allowing you to grow and develop.

The full moon nearest the autumnal equinox (about September 23). Near the time of the autumnal equinox, the angle of the moon's orbit relative to the Earth's horizon is at its minimum, causing the full moon to rise above the horizon much faster than usual. Since the difference of the moon's rising time on successive nights barely varies, the moon appears to rise at nearly the same hour for several nights in succession. Because the harvest moon, like any full moon, must rise near the hour of sunset, harvest workers in the Northern Hemisphere may be aided by bright moonlight after sunset on several successive evenings. A similar effect is observed in corresponding southern latitudes around March 21.

From Molly Hall, your Guide to Astrology

Work some practical magic, ask for clear answers for your real world concerns. Turn fear into action, and keep it simple.

Take it easy, heading into New Moon in Virgo (28th). A volatile sky, with an activated Mars (square to Saturn) drawing out fears and cracking defenses. Grand trine in earth by Sunday allows for serious manifesting, if we stay aligned with highest intent. Focus on what feels substantial and rooted in reality as you see it. A powerful time of change!

New Moon Date - October 26th 2011

"Sex appeal is fifty percent what you've got and fifty percent what people think you've got."~ Sophia Loren

This month the New Moon appears in the sign of Scorpio and our focus turns inwards. Scorpio rules psychology, death, taxes, jealousy, joint finances, sex, secrets and lies. Used in it's positive we have an opportunity to look within and ask our intuition the questions that have been looming in our head for a while. At work and home you will be looking for more depth and honesty in your relationships. Your "dishonesty" radar will be at full force, whether with yourself or with others. This is a month to master your own emotions and determine the types of emotional connections you want with others.

Whichever house the sign of Scorpio is ruling in your own personal chart will determine the depth of your feelings and desires, whether in personal or professional relationships.  What is your truth? What's important when it comes to finances? How is your sex life? Does that need to change? Have you been keeping secrets about which you are uncomfortable?

Take some time to write about your relationship with yourself.
What needs to change? Go deep.

Relationships
When The New Moon enters Scorpio it's time to empower yourself and then you'll feel empowered in your relationships. If you desire change in your relationship you first have to get clear about what those changes are and who is going to have to make the change! As you can really only focus on you; work on becoming more empowered. A wish you could make is "I easily find myself empowered to speak up in my relationship and be heard" or "I am easily able to be honest with myself and my partner about what is going on with me." As always an action is also required. Make a list of the issues you want to discuss with your partner. If you are not happy about a situation write about how you would like that situation to look, so that when you are ready to talk to your partner you can stay on track. Don't forget you need to look at what you are responsible for in the relationship that may need to change.

Soul Purpose Career
When the New Moon is in Scorpio in terms of your career, dig deep brother, dig deep. Its honesty time about the work in which you are engaged. You can spend another 20 years telling yourself the life that you "have" to work where you work; and this month you get an opportunity to be more truthful with yourself. You may feel ready for a change and unsure how that's going to happen. That's ok. The only thing you need to focus on right now is being honest about the pieces of your "job" that you do love and the pieces that you don't. Scorpio brings up all types of fears to a wish to counteract the fear and allow you to go deep could be "I want to find myself, without fear, easily open to change" or "I want to bring a positive transformation about how I see the possibility of being involved with work I love."

Action is required and as I'm a fan of lists here is another opportunity for you to write two different lists. One of the best ways to do this exercise is to find a note book you like and starting at the beginning write the list of ingredients included in your perfect work and the flip the note book over and starting the other end write a list of what you don't enjoy in your current job and that you also don't want to have in your working environment. Don't worry about "how" you are going to create that. The focus is on being honest with yourself and putting that down in writing so that you can take a look at the note book as the weeks pass and you will have a clearer picture of what you are looking to create in terms of your Soul Purpose Vocation.

The positive Scorpio energy is all around empowerment, depth, honesty, transformation and change. The act of both wishing AND taking action is important.

Happy New Moon in Scorpio and may all your wishes comes true!
